  • DR JOHAN (WILLIE) DURR

    Dr Willie Durr is a South African medical graduate with more than 30 years experience in general practice. He has worked in a group family practice in Cape Town for many years prior to moving abroad. He spent 10 years in Indonesia gaining invaluable experience working in a very challenging medical environment. He settled in Australia in 2010 and commenced in private practice at StrathpineGPSuperclinic until present. He obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2012 and in addition to his basic medical degree has a Diploma in Occupational Medicine and a Master’s Degree in Public health and Tropical Medicine. He is interested in all aspects of general medicine and believes that every patient should be treated as an individual with his/hers own specific needs and concerns. He has a special interest in management of skin cancers including surgical procedures. In his free time, he loves watching sport especially his favourite footy team and spends time at home with his wife and two French Bulldogs..

  • DR SOPHIE BROWN

    Dr Sophie Brown recently joined Strathpine GP Superclinic in January 2024, having moved from the U.K. to Australia with her family.

    Sophie completed her medical training in the U.K, qualifying with a medical degree from the University of Sheffield in 2008. She then went on to complete two years of hospital placements in Bristol before embarking on specialists training in General Practice. She became a fully qualified General Practitioner in June 2014.

    Sophie is a true generalist and brings to the practice a total of ten years experience, with five of those working in General Practice. She has completed hospital posts in a variety of sectors including Care of the Elderly, Dementia Care, ENT, Renal Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Gynecology. Additionally, whilst in Bristol ,she also spent eight months working in Palliative Care in a local hospice.

    Sophie is integrating into life in Australia with her husband and two young children. They enjoy spending time exploring the local area and further afield.

    Sophie has a warm and welcoming attitude and hopes to form long-term relationships with her patients and their families. She currently works five days a week making her accessible to current and new patients.

  • DR SHANI MENDIS

    Dr Shani Mendis graduated from Manipal College of Medical Sciences Nepal. Dr Shani has her Australian Medical Council Certificate and has been practising in Australia since 2013.

    She has spent 2 years practising Emergency Medicine and Cardiology at The Prince Charles Hospital.

    Previous to this she was working at Campbelltown Hospital NSW doing Emergency medicine and Respiratory medicine.

    Special interests include- Chronic Disease, Women’s Health and Aged Care.

    Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) Graduate Diploma of Health Science (Aged Care) (Queensland University of Technology) Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) Certifcate Skin Cancer Medicine Fellowship of the Australian Medical Acupuncture College (FAMAC) Dr Jeffrey Ong completed his medical qualification in 1981 and was a practicing General practitioner for 16 years overseas before immigrating to Australia. He trained in different areas in major public hospitals in Queensland from 2003. Dr Jeffrey Ong is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and a Fellow of the Australian Medical Acupuncture College.

    He has special interests in medical acupuncture, general medicine, women's health, antenatal care, general paediatrics and chronic diseases.

  • DR CELINE LUIS

    Dr Celine Luis is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has worked at Strathpine GP Superclinic since 2010. Prior to this, she has been a medical doctor for over 20 years in New Zealand’s public hospitals and general practice. She holds a Diploma of Child Health and worked as a Senior Paediatric Registrar for five years.


    Dr Luis has special interests in women’s and children’s health, diabetes, chronic lung disease and heart disease.

  • DR JOAN FRANGUE

    Dr Joan Frangue is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She worked in Essex, UK as a Staff Grade Doctor prior to completing her basic physician training in Queensland. She has more than 10 years experience in general practice and is affiliated with a number of local aged care facilities. She has special interests in women's health, ante-natal care, diabetes and aged care.

  • DR ROD MANZANO

    Dr Manzano is a fellow of the Royal Australia College of General Practitioners and has worked at Strathpine GP Superclinic since 2018.

    Dr Manzano is a valued member of our team who enjoys the variety of his day to day work.

    He has a special interest in skin checks and skin procedures, chronic disease, men’s health, antenatal care, general paediatrics and general medicine.

    Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) Adelaide Diploma of Child Health (Adelaide) Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) Fellow of the Australian Medical Acupuncture College (FAMAC) Dr Adrian Wong is an Australian medical graduate who trained in Paediatrics at major teaching hospitals for over 10 years and subsequently obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in Australia. he is a fully qualified Medical Acupuncturist and a Fellow of the Australian Medical Acupuncture College.


    He has special interests in medical acupuncture, paediatrics, general medicine, women's' health, antenatal care, mental health skin care and chronic diseases.

  • DR JOHN WHITSON

    Dr John Whitson graduated from the University of NSW. Initially John completed hospital posts in New South Wales and more extensively in the ACT before relocating to Queensland. Additionally, John gained considerable emergency medicine experience at an NHS teaching hospital in the United Kingdom. John's particular interests are in diabetes (both type 1 and type 2), thyroid medicine, respiratory medicine, paediatrics, musculoskeletal medicine, as well as mental health. In addition to these areas, John is interested in all aspects of medicine including cardiology, GI concerns, women's health, men's health, medical imaging and pathology.

    Outside medicine John is interested in contemporary Australian politics, science and the natural environment.

  • DR THIRUMAL NARAYANAN

    Dr Thirumal Narayanan is an experienced General Pracititioner and Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

    His special interests are chronic disease and adolescent health and is a avid cricket fan.

    Dr Narayanan speaks multiple languages inc Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu.
