If you have any questions please call our reception team.

  • Nobody likes to be kept waiting. Our staff understand this and endeavours to manage all appointments as punctually as possible. However, due to the unpredictable nature of a medical practice, doctors do frequently run behind time. We regret any inconvenience caused due to these delays.

  • A standard appointment is usually booked for 10 minutes. Please ask the receptionist to book a longer consultation if you need a general check-up, have multiple or complex problems or need a consultation that will include counselling.

  • Patients must make an appointment to see a doctor. If you have more than one health concern or a complex issue to discuss, please request a longer appointment at the time of booking. A separate appointment must be made for each family member. Same day appointments are available for urgent cases.

  • Appointments can be made in person, over the phone or online via our website or appointment app.

  • We understand that sometimes circumstances change and you may not be able to keep an appointment. Please let us know as far ahead as possible, so that the appointment can be allocated to another patient. Please refer to our Cancellation and Non-Attendance Policy.

  • Most prescriptions provide sufficient medication to last until your condition needs to be reviewed by your doctor. Prescriptions are not routinely written without consultation due to the need to determine the appropriate medications at the time.

  • To provide a certificate the doctor must see the patient for the condition listed on the certificate. It is illegal to back date medical certificates.

  • Telephone calls to doctors are limited to emergencies. Our receptionist will assist you with any enquiries or take a message and arrange a time that will be mutually convenient to discuss your concerns with the doctor.

  • Whatever your preferred language; we can help you organize an interpreter to assist with any language barriers. Strathpine GP Superclinic uses the Telephone Interpreter Service 1300 131 450 when required. We can organise an “over the phone” service or with 48 hours’ notice an “on site” service. We also arrange interpreters through the National Auslan Interpreter Service, for our hearing impaired patients.

  • Please make an appointment with your doctor to discuss your test results. Follow up of test results is the patient’s responsibility. Please discuss making follow up appointments with your doctor.

  • A family member can only access your test results with your permission. Privacy laws make it illegal to disclose any information about a patient without their prior consent. If you want a family member to have access to your results, you will need to have that put in writing and noted in your file.
