Bulk billing your appointment?
You now need to actively confirm so that your doctor is able to offer you bulk billing during your visit.
STRATHPINE GP SUPERCLINIC
From 1 July, we'll need your confirmation.
From 1 July 2026, Medicare is changing the way patients provide consent for bulk-billed services. This is a new federal government requirement and does not affect your treatment, Medicare benefits or your doctor's billing policy. When a service is bulk billed, the Medicare benefit is paid directly to the medical practice on the patient's behalf, rather than to the patient. To support this process, Medicare now requires patients to sign an Assignment of Benefit (AoB) agreement. For appointments from 1 July 2026 onwards, you will need to complete a short electronic or paper consent form to confirm your Medicare benefit is to be assigned to your appointment.
What This Means for You
Your care stays the same
You will continue to receive the same exceptional, high-quality healthcare and service you expect from Strathpine GP Superclinic. Your trusted doctor and your appointments will not change.
Your benefits do not change
Your eligibility for bulk billing and your overall Medicare benefits remain exactly the same. There are no out-of-pocket costs being introduced because of this update.
A seamless transition
