Practice Overview
The Strathpine GP Superclinic has been operating since 2010. We are fully computerised and offer full-time registered nurse support, dedicated consulting rooms and a fully equipped treatment room, on-site pathology collection and Pharmacy. We provide a wide range of medical services to a diverse multi-cultural area, offering registrars an ideal teaching and learning environment. We have a “learning culture” as they support registrars, medical students and nursing students.
Strathpine GP Superclinic
The Superclinic is located in Strathpine and is walking distance from the Strathpine Railway Station. There is also off-street parking as well as dedicated secure staff and doctor parking. We are open Monday to Friday 730am-5pm and 9am-2pm on weekends and select public holidays. We offer on-site pathology, pharmacy and allied health. The building is modern and well equipped, and registrars will have their own dedicated consulting rooms.
Practice Staff
We have very loyal and long term staffing, with 70% of our staff and doctors having been with the Strathpine GP Superclinic for more than 8 years. We have 5 nursing staff covering the treatment room and a dedicated Chronic Disease Management nurse operating with full time specialised nursing staff.
The practice has a full time Practice Manager and an Reception Manager.
Practice patient base and services
There is a very large patient base as the independent practitioners at the Superclinic have been providing health care to the Moreton Bay Community for over 10 years. The patient demographic covers all age groups.
The independent doctors in conjunction with the Superclinic offer a full range of services and procedures such as; general health screenings, all types of immunisations/vaccinations, minor surgery, pregnancy tests, ECG’s, Spirometry, ear syringing, work injuries along with Pre employment assessments.
Information for Registrars
Registrars are expected to work during the core hours of Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. There are no requirements to work Saturdays, unless it is by mutual agreement. No home visits or after hours coverage is required.
The practice has two (2) GP Supervisors and formal, allocated, teaching sessional times are scheduled in each week. All other GP’s in the practice also support the training program and provide assistance as needed.
